Here at Stylehive, we love our accessories and baubles so imagine our joy when we discovered that our DIY Editor, Sophie Okulick, is none other than the creative genius behind Sophie Monet jewelry! Natural materials like turquoise, wood and coral are made into earthy, elegant pieces that add a touch of luxury and style to any ensemble, from basic denim to sassy dresses. We took a moment to pick her brain and share with you just how her creative mind works! SH - So when did this all start? Sophie - It all came into being about a year ago, right here in Venice, CA. SH - What gave you the idea to start a jewelry line? Sophie - My dad is a sculptor so he had the tools and wood around and it sparked an interest. I've always loved finding really unique pieces at flea markets and thrift shopping so it seemed a logical next step for me to try to make pieces for myself. SH - So it's in the genes! Have you always had a interest in making jewelry? Sophie - When I was younger, my friends and I would make little accessories like hair pieces and such by using a hot glue gun and buttons and bobby pins. I studied Fine Arts and have always loved crafts so I combined the elements. It was kind of a light bulb moment when I decided to use wood to make jewelry. SH - Well, they're really gorgeous. So some scrap wood started it all? Sophie - Well, like I had mentioned, there was scrap wood around when I was younger and just for fun, I'd glue pieces together to make whatever. Nothing sometimes. (laughs) My first jewelry idea was a necklace and I just experimented through trial and error from there. I've tried metal and plexi-glass, but wood looked the most unique and sophisticated. I slowly incorporated stones, metal details and gold leaf. SH - So where can we, and our Hivers, find Sophie Monet pieces? Sophie - There's quite a few places here in L.A., as well as Florida, Vancouver and Oakland in stores like Fred Segal, Only Hearts and In Residence. How often do you make new pieces and what can we look forward to from Sophie Monet? Sophie - Whenever I'm inspired by a shape or a feel, I go to the studio. I have a new design about once a month and produce a new collection of about 6 - 8 pieces about twice a year. I'm really into bracelets and cuffs right now. One of my favorite ideas are a few cuff bracelets that I have in the works. I'll be using a lot more turquoise and quartz crystals, of course, but I'm also looking to incorporate more amethyst and onyx. SH - Sounds gorgeous! We can't wait! From the VH1 Divas tribute to the troops in California, to the Kennedy Center Honors in D.C.; the following stars worked it out on the red carpet opting for cute cocktail attire, regardless of the occasion. Check out what they wore.

Jennifer Hudson was a class act last night at the 33rd Annual Kennedy Center Honors in a little black dress. The slight draping and sheerness on top makes the dress unique, but what we're really loving are Hudson's shoes! The color -- glittery silver with a strip of black -- is totally fun, while the style is all business.

Brandy opted for a little white dress when she attended the USO Presents: 'VH1 Divas Salute The Troops,' this past Friday. We love that Brandy ignored the no white after labor day rule and chose a dress in an interesting cut. We're also loving the folds at the waist. Brandy completed her look with a statement necklace, sans earrings, and a pair of gray platform heels.

Christina Milian looked like one hot, festive mama in red at the ABC Family's: '25 Days Of Christmas 2010 Winter Wonderland Event.' The actress wore a figure hugging, low-cut column dress, and kept the rest of her look simple with black pumps and minimum jewelry. Daughter Violet looked adorable in an all red number as well, topped off with a Santa hat. How precious!

Brandy, Milian and Hudson are proof that cocktail attire can be worn -- and worn well -- for different occasions. Bravo ladies!

Rupert Everett Lambasts Hollywood, "Tasteless" Jennifer Aniston Movies

Actor Rupert Everett is not shy about expressing himself ... or naming names if he's bitter enough about who becomes a star and who doesn't.

Speaking to BBC Radio 4 about how homosexuals fare in Hollywood, the interview eventually turned to the question of audience perception.

Rupert argued that no matter what fans may think, the industry decides who will become A-list. How else to you explain Jennifer Aniston?!

The Switch? The Bounty Hunter?! Come on!

"If you look and analyze the careers of many, many, many stars, you'll find that they're mostly sustained by the business," he said.

"I'm not going to start naming names of people whose films have not succeeded at the box office, but you'll find lots of women and lots of men that the powers that be determine are right and they'll stand with them for quite a long time."

"Jennifer Aniston will have so many absolute flops, but she's still a member of that club, and like a star forming in the universe, things will swirl around her and it will suddenly solidify into another vital tasteless rom-com."

Oooookay ...

Rude? Bitter? You bet. Although The Switch, The Bounty Hunter, Love Happens and Management were pretty terrible, we'll give him that.

Marley & Me was a big hit, though, and Friends? One of the most popular shows in history. Plus, she married Brad Pitt and has that hair.

In the end, you don't have to be a professional critic to observe correctly that Jen has made some bad movies. But there is an audience.

If they weren't profitable, why would they continue to be made? Rom-coms may be tasteless, but they're cheap to produce. Cha. Ching.

Maybe she's riding her past successes a bit these days, but does she really deserve to be singled out like this? Go get a life, Rupert!

Just don't even get near her.
